Prior to 2020 and the global pandemic, companies were collectively losing Over $100 billion dollars annually in grief-related losses.
Research has shown that 1 in 4 employees will grieve at any given time.
Managers, supervisors, business leaders and HR often need help and guidance to develop skills on how to acknowledge grief, understand grief and better support grieving employees while meeting the demands of maintaining a productive and successful organization.
I work with HR, managers and leadership to develop these important skills. I offer workshops and consulting that provide tools, resources and guidance on how to effectively support grieving employees and address grief in the workplace.
In today’s challenging environment, there is a critical and growing need to develop strong bereavement programs that will benefit the wellbeing of the employee and enhance the success of the company at the same time.
Grief can no longer be the elephant in the break room. Grief is personal but it is universal and everyone will grieve. It is impossible to leave grief at the door when returning to work and it needs to be acknowledged and addressed.
I understand that most managers are not trained on how to navigate loss and grief in the workplace. I’m here to help and we are all in this together.
Let’s change the way we think about grief. How companies treat employees is on the radar and a grief-inclusive culture can create connection, engagement and loyalty. My programs will help your management teams to handle the discomfort that accompanies grief, regardless of the loss.
